What should we achieve in the opening sequence?
In the first 2 minutes of the film that we are producing, it should be able to achieve:
- Titles and credits
- Introduction of characters, time and location
- Audience should be able to recognize of theme and signify the genre
- To engage and captivate the audience
- Director/actors should satisfy the expectation of audience of the generic conventions
- Iconography throughout the film
- Establishment of a sound track setting the mood along with a unique sound created for that film and that is recognisable as that film (theme music)
